HELLO band,MERRY CHRISTMAS and A HAPPY NEW YEAR!! ^.^ hope that everyone have an enjoyable christmas!! well, 2oo6 is going to end soon = holidays going to end soon which also means that school is reopening soon!!! As you know SYF is just barely 3 months away and i really hope that you guys did really practice during the holidays. We must really put in lots of hard work and effort for the coming SYF!! Dont only work hard but also work smart!!! Sec 1s and 2s if you have any doubts pls go and seek guidance from your SLs! so EVERYONE must really work hard yeah?? well, even though Mr Wong didnt really talk about what results we should get for the coming SFY but i believe that the expectation of each and everyone of us is to maintain our silver standard!! ( For seniors who went to the SYF in 2005 you guys should know how hard we had worked, how much efforts we put in and finally we achieve our silver medal. Pls dont let our efforts go down to the drain ...) From the holidays practices i believe that you can hear that the tone, intonation... everything about the band wasn't very good at all. No Musically, No Tone, Not following the Dynamics, Intonation was terrible... Almost all were restless and not concentrating!! It's time to wake up!! furthermore, the purpose of watching the videos were to let you guys know more about the band, your own instruments and how to improve in one way or another. dont take all those for granted k?? Really hope that there will be some changes when school reopen... =) ----------------- ***And just to inform you guys something, when school reopen BAND PRACTICE WILL RESUME!! On 4th of Jan, thursday, it will be our first band practice of 2oo7. NORMAL BAND PRACTICE - Monday and Thursday Sec 1s recruits - Tuesday Okay, still remember that we are going to attend a concert next year?? The YuHua and RiverValley Combine Band Concert. All sec3s and Sec 2s ( next yr. 2007 ) must go for the concert!!! it's strongly encourage! ^_^ and i thinked that jonathan and i had break the news that there will be some changes in both the main and sub committee. we will only update the committe next year when the school reopen. =) ----------------- Lastly, just to break ONE GOOD news to you all we are going to hold another round of audition and test again!! ( this time round no more hint ) =)) * Good Luck for both the auditions and test !! =D * ----------------- hope to see that the band will improve and BOOM very fast!!! Can we do that?? =) - ying - |
